Teachers' Resources

Misinformation is everywhere — especially when it comes to the environment. Developing critical thinking is essential for students to evaluate information, make informed decisions, and understand complex environmental issues. The ACCESS 2 Teachers’ Resources give educators the tools to help students question, analyse, and reflect — building the skills they need for a sustainable future.

What We Offer

A complete set of practical, adaptable tools to bring environmental education and critical thinking into your classroom:

  • Microlesson Library: Ready-to-use, multimedia microlessons with activities, quizzes, and editable templates that make sustainability learning engaging and accessible.
  • Teachers’ Toolkit: A practical guide to teaching critical environmental literacy and combating misinformation.
  • Microcertification Scheme: A structured approach to integrating our digital learning platform — Climate Decoded — into your lessons, with clear steps and guidance.

Each resource is designed to help teachers inspire critical, creative, and confident learners — capable of thinking independently about sustainability and the (mis)information that surrounds it.

Microlesson Library

The Microlesson Library offers an assortment of engaging, multimedia lessons, designed primarily for students aged 12–15, and broken down into 10 unique topics. Each microlesson is delivered in a dynamic format — such as a video, infographic, or storybook — and includes an interactive quiz and activity to reinforce learning. Teachers also receive a support document explaining common misconceptions and misinformation and how to address them with students, plus a Canva template for easy adaptation to different languages, levels, or topics.

Teachers' Toolkit

A practical guide to teaching environmental education with a focus on developing students’ critical thinking. It provides ready-to-use activities, tips, and supporting resources to help teachers create lessons that encourage students to question, analyse, and reflect on environmental issues. Adaptable for a variety of classroom settings, the toolkit supports both new and experienced educators in guiding students to become thoughtful, curious, and informed learners.

Microcertification Scheme

The Microcertification Scheme helps teachers implement the Climate Decoded online learning platform with confidence. Climate Decoded is our online platform where students explore environmental and sustainability topics through short microlessons, interactive activities, and quizzes, while developing critical thinking skills and learning to recognise and address misinformation. The Microcertification Scheme guides teachers on how to integrate the platform into their lessons, track student progress, and use digital badges to motivate learners and celebrate their achievements.
